Hi,
Check the Code vom Marcel Licence, he created 2 Codeblocks for the ESP32 which could be combined with Your code to create a standalone DRUMTrigger.
He created a Sample-Playback-Code and a Drum-Sample-Computer, which I already used to extend a Korg Volca Beats. You could grab his or my code.

It is symply a sugggestion to make Your Drum-Library a step bigger.
