PRD: User Onboarding and Verification Process

Overview

This PRD outlines the process for onboarding new users to the RealDevSquad (RDS) Discord server and ensuring they are aware of the server's rules and guidelines and manageing them automatically and have a page where they can know the reason why they were removed form the server.

Objectives

1. Ensure new users are welcomed and provided with clear instructions.
2. Direct users to a webpage that outlines the server's rules and guidelines.
3. Verify that users.
4. managing their onboarding task

Flow

1. User Joins the Discord Server

   • When a user joins the Discord server, they receive a welcome message.

2. Welcome Message

   • The welcome message will be in the format:

     Hello [user], welcome to the RDS server.
     

   • The message will include a hyperlink that redirects the user to a webpage containing all the dos and don'ts of the server.

3. Webpage with Rules

   • The webpage will list all the rules and guidelines that users must follow while on the RDS server.

4. User Verification

   • After reading the webpage, the user will be instructed to run the /verify command in the Discord server.
   • Running the /verify command indicates that the user has read and agreed to follow the server's rules.

5. Implement Welcome Message

   • Develop a bot or script to send an automated welcome message to new users when they join the Discord server.
   • Ensure the message contains the proper greeting and hyperlink to the rules webpage.

This PRD outlines the process and tasks required to implement a smooth onboarding and verification process for new users joining the RDS Discord server. By following these steps, we aim to enhance the user experience and ensure adherence to server rules.
