Thanks for this template! However, since this is the only Latex I use, it's proven a bit fiddly to get it to work, especially as I have switched computers twice during the preparation of a current manuscript. Rather than getting it all set up again on my new computer, I now created a GitHub Action to compile it - and thought I would share that. It basically updates the PDF whenever changes are pushed (and takes the workaround from #25 into account).
Maybe you want to add this to this repo, or to the README? Otherwise, feel free to close the issue, then it might still be found by someone looking for a way out of Latex trouble :)

Thansk. We're in the process of evamping the rescience website (using the JOSS interface) and I think your GitHub action will be useful at that time. Hopefully, by end of year, we should have an early prototype to test for the integration.
