These test should use a simplified test database, and check the proper functioning of:

insert of .def files
hierarchical search
- base classes are retrieved properly
- derived classes properly override bases classes on retrieval
constrained search
- searches are complete

@jschoate - pls let me know if people are still using this program, and these tests seem useful
