The Hoot mobile app does not collect any user information. Hoot will, however, require that you log into a lotide instance of your choice. In doing so, you give that instance exclusive rights to anything that you post, and access to all information they decide to collect, including but not limited to your IP address, username, password, email, and sessions.
The Hoot mobile app may use telemetry data to gather analytics, but will always be anonymous.
