Recently, it has come to the attention of the maintainers that Pogify was approved for a spotify rate limit increase. With this in mind, we will be creating a v2 application. (disregard the fact that we never actually released v1).
While the heat of the DMCA situation has died down, we believe that there still exists a demand for a product like Pogify. We have yet to see a true drop in replacement for Spotify. It is true that Twitch developed and released to beta their solution Soundtrack. However, we believe that this is a "nothing burger" and doesn't do anything to rectify the problem of streamers not being able to play the music that they want to listen to and share during a stream.
v1 was just a bunch of amateur coders playing around with an idea. v2 will be a fleshed out product. The focus of v2 will be creating a bulletproof application up and down the tech stack.
