Amazon released a more modular version of their SDK a little while back (in 2020).
It's a major change, but this repository's footprint isn't that large so it might not be a particularly heavy lift: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/developer/why-and-how-you-should-use-aws-sdk-for-javascript-v3-on-node-js-18/
