USyd Breaking Good SSP lab program 2023

Breaking Good runs a program with first year undergraduate chemistry students at USyd where students synthesise 2-aminothiazoles over a four week period starting in early August. Our current targets are shown below and have been added to both the Master list and the wiki.

The top row of compounds would be sent for testing but are largely intended as feedstock for Suzuki couplings and Buchwald-Hartwig reactions.

We are still in the process of synthesising the necessary bromoketone precursors, so these targets may change depending on how the synthesis efforts go.

All compounds were successfully synthesised. We're in the process of purification and hope to send them for testing soon!
