Potential future project (probably defer this to later)

• Automate uploading kiosk status by running some kind of cron job bash / batch script to upload something to a password protected API POST route (similar to the webscraper stuff, but on the kiosk computers)

  • If a new password is needed for this API route (to improve security), it can be added by following the directions on this page to decrypt and encrypt a new env file, and then upload the new encrypted file to https://github.com/OSU-Sustainability-Office/lambda-common-layer under .env.enc
• The Porteus / Kioware docs are out of date but there’s an option on MU kiosk kioware to execute a batch script on a schedule
• Or just have someone commit to checking the kiosks each month, like meter reads
