I have the same problem with kirkstone-l4t-r32.7.x on jetson-xavier-nx-devkit - dosdcard only works with connected target in recovery mode:

In reviewing the NVIDIA scripts that I based ours on, I don't think we really have to worry about flashing non-production parts, so I'll fix the flash helper script to remove the check that's triggering the read of the chip info. |

Hi,
is there a reason that it is necessary to have a target connected to the host while ./dosdcard.sh runs? I don't recall having to do this when our system was based on dunfell. Seemed to have changed when we introduced kirkstone.
