Current Features

I scripted a bunch of stuff:

ner_setup.py
setup.py
load-alias.py
launchpad.py

etc

Desired Additional Features

Im no python wizz, and so i worry about robustness of these given that i scripted them all. This ticket is ideal for someone who really knows their way around python and can implement better error handling, edge case handling, and comments/clarity to ensure these are less likely to fail, and users now and in the future can handle potential failures better
