frequency and identity

What are we doing about field variables with the same identity in terms of name, unit, and methods, but written at different frequencies?

in cf-python, in cf-store?

There's a todo for you in the atomic manifesto paper on this as well. I think we should be making a CF proposal to have an optional field/domain(?) property to assist with this ... more when we talk.
