Context

URL: https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/dashboard/stories/black-belt-climate

Blocking a release? (y/n): n

Regression issue? (y/n): n

Priority: P3

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Type an email into an mdx file, just as prose with no links
  2. View the resulting story/dataset overview in the dashboard
  3. Click on the email (it's now a link)

It should open in a new tab, with the url being the previous page with mailto: appended

While it's not necessarily a bad thing to turn an email into a link like this, it's not working properly. Either we should keep it as prose or adjust the functionality to what a user might expect from clicking on an email.
