I only need VIM for my unit (MHI2_ER_VWG13_K4525). Do I need to add patches? Can I uninstall M.I.B. after setting VIM?

Okay I was feeling lucky and installed it. VIM works fine without adding patches just with the files you find here. I just need to know if I can uninstall M.I.B. now?
