USB connection not found after updating Porsche Macan 2017 with PCM 4 to Car Play

I tried to install the software, but had some issues.

I managed to install MIB and went through the green menu twice to install the patches. Looking at the logs in the backup folder, it seems to have installed CarPlay.

There is an option for Smartphone link now, but I get the message "No device connected - Connect your phone via USB to use Apple CarPlay".

I used two different cables and two phones iOS 18.1 to try the connection, but it still didn't work. The CarPlay option doesn't show up on the phone either. The USB cable is able to provide power to the phones via the port in the center console that is also for CarPlay.

Additionally, the logs say "Patch folder /net/mmx/fs/sda0/patches/MHI2_US_POG11_K3300_MU0809_PATCH NOT found on SD card".

Do you have any advice for this?
