It saves me a lot of time, because previously I had to merge each folder(=episode) into one single file to be able to use the standard shuffle, single and resume function within Phoniebox, which is quite tedious if you have 147 Episodes of Benjamin Blümchen finished and start doing 135 episodes of Bibi Blocksberg next.
However I am now facing another issue, which I hadn't realized. Most of folders have an intelligent file name syntax, for example starting with 01, 02 etc. But Some of my folders don't which means if they're sorted and played alphabetically, they won't make sense anymore. I hadn't noticed as in my file browser on Windows it's automatically sorted by track number, as you can see in the following screenshot.
If I upload to my box, it gets sorted alphabetically.
Does anyone have an idea or solution for this kind of problem other than using a file renaming service to change the file name syntax on my original files?
Edit: I ended up using the freeware tool mp3Tag, which made bulk renaming quite easy. Deleting and rewriting it to the pi took some time but it is now sorting properly.

Hi there,
I managed to implement Matthias Pelgers Script to enable a Random Subfolder Play Routine for my box, which gives me the option to play one of the subfolders within my directory at random and it stops after that folder has finished.
