Invalid Wave: no RIFF/RF64 header #227

Dear all,

We validated some WAVE-files and received for some files the error message "no RIFF/RF64 header" which means based on the specs "The file does not initiate with a RIFF chunk". How can we solve this issue so these files can be valid WAV-files?

Hi @Sophiead, I'm curious if your files are not wav files but misnamed. Could you send us more information, such as a mediainfo report or the output of this command mediainfo --Details=1 your.wav (replacing the name of the wav file with a file path to yours)
