DSM node putting heavy CPU load on NAS #14

Hello, I don't know how this node is fetching data from the NAS, but when I poll the NAS for information (to store in a database), the CPU usage increase by 20-30%. If I stop logging, the CPU usage drops.
Don't know if this is a necessary side-effect, or if there is some way to get around this.
Also, is this project dead?
