[Feature Request] Option to disable auto-wrap parentheses

If text is selected, typing a parenthesis adds parens around the selection instead of replacing the selection. I'd love a way to disable that behavior!

Thank you for the feedback. I think this is a valid idea.

However, I would like to avoid adding more and more options to the app, let me think about if there's a better way.

I think something like https://editorconfig.org/ would make more sense, but I don't have a concrete plan yet.
