Releases: LonamiWebs/Stringlate
Allow filtering for identical strings - Version 0.9.10d
Now you can filter to show only strings which translation is identical to the original text. A rare crash was fixed, and also, a message is now shown if the repository may use online translation services.
Fix clone progress over 100% again - Version 0.9.10c
Single bug fix for issue #102 where the progress was getting, once again, over 100%. Hopefully this should be the last time that minor enhancement is patched.
Fix install on Nougat - Version 0.9.10b
This release only fixes installing on Nougat devices (and probably more above 5.1), as suggested by @mimi89999 on commit 59391d7
. Thank you!
Less bugs & more features - Version 0.9.10
Changes since v0.9.9
New features:
- You can now export and import repositories as
.zip
files. - Easier way to pull new strings. No more confussion!
- Show the progress on the history fragment.
- API support. Your application can now start Stringlate via an intent.
- Issues will now be reused, and new translations will be posted as comments.
- Updated some translations.
Bug fixes:
- Farewell, status bar bug! It's now been fixed with a new bottom navigation bar.
- Fix GitHub repositories not being recognised.
- Slightly improved performance [1].
- More bug fixes [2].
[1]. On things like the list views, some of which are fast scrollable now, and avoiding multiple loads of the strings many times
[2]. Deleting a repository used to fail sometimes, as well as crashes when pulled strings had no names. Exporting HTML content also works better, and new lines are more readable.
Autosaving update - Version 0.9.9
Changes since v0.9.8b:
- Strings are now saved
automagicallyautomatically! - Different sorting modes.
- Fancy new icons on the Translation menu.
- Even more repositories are now supported [1].
- Ready to be built by F-Droid, hopefully [2].
[1]. Some repositories with strings on unknown places were reported. These are now handled properly.
[2]. There has been a big issue around (exporting failed horribly) and it's been a "long" time since the latest v0.9.7
release. The v0.9.8b
failed to build because some appcompat
stuff was updated and F-Droid hadn't accepted the license yet. With the downgrade, everything should work. Sorry for the inconveniences.
Tiny bug fixes
This v0.9.8b
release is only so changes get reflected on F-Droid. However, more bugs have been fixed:
- Remembering the selected string id.
- Allow exporting to SD card on pre-lollipop devices.
- Improved the "adding repository" accuracy.
Bug fixes - Version 0.9.8
Changes since v0.9.7:
- Fix exporting not working (when sharing a string, on a repository with only 1 file).
- Fix saving some special files (containing arrays or plurals). Now all your strings should be saved.
- Custom API! If you want to embed Stringlate on your application, now you can!
- Other minor optimizations [1].
[1]. Tiny improvements when translating strings and also better handling of GitHub and GitLab URLs.
New Horizons Update - Version 0.9.7
As usual, please report any bugs. This release introduced a lot of changes.
Changes since v0.9.5:

- Added support for repositories with more than one file per locale.
- Adding a new repository will take longer, but repositories with a lot of strings will now work
- Resource files called
donottranslate.xml
or similar are now skipped. - Fixed several bugs [2] and introduced new bugs! Probably.
- New way to check for internet access, rather than pinging
8.8.8.8
.
Stringlate is also now available on one new language:
- Russian, translated by @ashed.
[1]. The supported sites include GitHub and GitLab urls, and any other valid git
repository. Simply provide the URL you would use to clone it!
[2]. The bugs fixes include, but are not limited to: properly displaying the right locale, entering the name or a new locale (being this country-specific), selecting the next text field on the Add repository screen on Return pressed, updating the progress on Next clicked, rotation bugs.
The GitHub Update - Version 0.9.5
Changes since v0.9.4.1:
- Now you can login to GitHub, thus being able to post non-anonymous Gists.
- Added ability to export to issue and to pull request [1].
- If an app is installed, load its icon without an internet connection.
- Improved search and application filtering on the Discover activity.
- Now full locale is shown rather than it's code (i.e. Spanish instead
es
). - Support multiline strings.
- Progress bar now shows the progress more accurately.
Stringlate is also now available on one new language:
- Romanian, translated by @licaon-kter.
[1]. Note please that Stringlate is still below the 1.0
version and this feature has not been tested in depth. I'm not responsible for any damage and I encourage you to test it on your own "dummy" repositories first, and submit any patches if possible!
Version 0.9.4.1
This minor release brings a new language Czech by @rr-vesp and contains all the strings for the Chinese language (some of which were missing on the last version).
