Viewer on extended display is white #1726
Comments
@hardevs there are no current known issues with STTM Desktop. Other Gurdwaras are running fine with Windows 10 and have had no other issues being logged. It does sound like it may be isolated to your machine. @Gauravjeetsingh can you please help investigate. |
Its an issue I am also facing when making a built from MacOs at times. Its not coming when i'm using macincloud |
I resolved my issue by removing Anti-Virus & Safer Web (DNS Filtering) from ReasonLabs |
Gurfateh Ji! I can confirm and reproduce this bug from our Gurdwara laptop running on Windows 10 (Home Version 1809). We are using the latest STTM version 9.1.0 with the latest database. Our sewadaars are only trained on STTM hence why we can't provide any Gurbani captions right now in Diwaans. Our sangat is missing the captions a lot so we would appreciate this bug being investigated further. I'm happy to provide additional information or logs if needed. cc @saintsoldierx @Gauravjeetsingh Observed behaviourOn launch STTM opens two windows, the second one being the full screen viewer on the external display. The window control buttons are notably absent. No matter which theme is selected the window is always all-white. Opening a shabad or switching to different pangtiyan does not have any effect on the window. When closed the window does re-open when switching to a different pangti as before, but the window will always remain all white. |
@jagmit ji, I will look into this. Also, we did release another version yesterday, 9.1.1 should be out now. Can you please check if this issue still persists with the latest version? |
@jagmit veer, can you please run the following command on that same laptop? It will output a file (D:\softwarelist.txt) with a list of installed softwares. Please share that file here. You may need to adjust D:\softwarelist.txt file path in the command, in case your system doesn't have D drive, etc.

@hardevs Gurfateh Ji! This is the output of the command: Output
|
@jagmit Thanks for that list. Installed apps looks fine and shouldn't be causing any issue w/ STTM Desktop. Let's also take a look at installed Windows Updates. Please run the following command and share the output.

@hardevs this is the output of Output

Currently running into an issue where the Viewer on the extended display is just white. It remains white screen while I'm selecting Bani on the laptop. I have reinstalled sttm multiple times on this laptop running Windows 10. It was working last week, not sure if any windows update might have caused this. Any additional pointers? How is the communication occurring between the Viewer and the main thread app? Is it through HTTP, socket or some other protocol? I'm just looking for additional pointers. I will look through Event Viewer logs later. Does STTM have any direct logs? If so, what's the path?
