MS Word. Manage Abbreviation Lists. Re-work import/export UI. #44
Comments
The button only performs an action if a resource is selected immediately above, or if the mode is changed to "Input from File" and a previously exported abbrevs list is selected with the file picker. (A quick and dirty way to avoid confusion might be to disable the button unless one of those conditions is satisfied, and provide a rollover hint when the button is in disabled state. There are probably better ways to arrange things though.) |
Thanks. I see, at least, that if you hit the "Input from defaults" label it turns into a "Input from file" label. But then [Import] still does nothing. I see that I must, instead click in the text box "Click to select a file". ... Breaking all the normal UI conventions ... :)

Might this issue be best kept open as an UI reworking todo? |
Sure. |
Might change the title though, since the Import button is actually functional. |
How's that? :) |
Zotero, on which Jurism is based, is set to migrate to a new platform, which will involve a complete rewrite of their UI. That will in turn require a complete rewrite of the Abbrevs. Filter UI, or possibly its replacement by some tool that Zotero themselves provide. I won't be making any UI changes until the migration watershed hits us like a sledgehammer. |
... nothing more to say.
