(This should be moved to the documentation once we have some of it defined...)

Aerith

The codename for the SoC of the LCD Steam Deck.

/sys/class/dmi/id/product_family:Aerith

Chachani

Unclear. Seen in BIOS update screens, and referred in even the galileo BIOS.

Foxnet

A private wireguard network for in-development hardware.

This service is development-only, and will not persist to production units. It enrolls the unit in a private 'foxnet' wireguard VPN, exposes SSH access to it, allows remote administration, as well as submission of telemetry if the foxnetstatsd service is available.

Galileo

The OLED Steam Deck model.

AKA: F7G, Galilypad, Gal(?)

Galileo packages are distributed side-by-side with Jupiter packages.

Holo

The non-steamdeck organizational name of Steam OS components.

Jupiter

The LCD Steam Deck model.

/sys/class/dmi/id/product_name:Jupiter
/sys/class/dmi/id/board_name:Jupiter

AKA: F7A

Neptune

Unclear. For now assumed to be the controller hardware permanently attached to the Steam Deck. It might have been an earlier codename (linux-firmware-neptune)

neptune-ctl is a package that only refers to gamepad, and related debugging features.

Sephiroth

The (unverified) codename for the SoC of the OLED Steam Deck.
