Having no mention of any version later than Sierra in the readme makes it sound like development stopped there.

It was only after looking at change dates in the code that I decided it was safe to use in Monterey.

There hasn't been a release in a long time. 1.8.2 is from 2019 - thanks for confirming that it does still work in Monterey!
There have been code changes in the meantime, but I haven't had enough time to test a new release.

I know this is thankless work... This is a wonderful project and it would be great if we could have 1.9.0 released!
