At the moment, as its the beginning of our formation, there are no defined roles yet within the organisation. This is something we are in conversation about and for now we have made the decision that we share the roles and each one of us wears 'several hats' so to speak.

However, sooner or later, it would be good to define as a first step or at least have a clear idea on who is interested in what:

  • Project management
  • Client liaison
  • Scrum master
  • Development: frontend/backend
  • QA & development
  • Design research (UX research)
  • Design implementation (UX+UI design)
  • Accounts
  • Sales
  • Education and outreach coordination- Founders & Coders and workshops

I'm most interested in the internal culture of the organisation ('vision', 'ethos'), how we do things ('process') and continue to get better ('learning'), and continuing to be involved in the development of an educational model alongside the vision of FAC. I'm also interested in human / user-centred thinking.

Things I'm good at:

  • Researching & writing -- I study exhaustively & love finding creative applications.
  • Social perceptiveness / empathy / conciliation / facilitation -- I'm good at reading situations & coming up with solutions that mediate the needs of those involved.
  • Identifying problems / patterns

Of the roles listed I'm interested in:

  • Scrum-mastering (lean, agile)
  • UX Research & testing
  • Education & outreach coordination (running workshops)
  • Copy-writing

I'm much more attracted to an internal culture than external culture role. I like running workshops and being involved in meetings, but I don't want to end up being responsible for client / external management or sales.

@bradreeder This is a great start, and something Sion very much recommended that we do.

@nogainbar @sohilpandya @emilyb7 @des-des Let's all have a think about this ourselves and get something similar written under Bradley's

Roles I'm interested in:

  • Development (frontend and backend)

Other stuff I'm more than happy to get involved with:

  • Workshops for FAC / community (espesh the writing and researching parts)
  • General research, things that involve writing
  • Copywriting, editing (e.g. website, marketing materials, stuff on behalf of clients if needed)
  • Product management? (not on the above list... I guess this is fairly close to some parts of UX and project management)

Things that are not for me:

  • Accounts, all things to do with managing money
  • Sales
