This is an example of a more general requirement, namely to allow users to submit data via forms. Others include:
request a visa letter (see issue Form: visa invites #98 ). Some have used Google forms; some have used email to the general chair.
upload slides for an accepted talk. Crypto uses their own system at UCSB.
submit copyright form for an accepted talk. I believe these are current handled by an email server.
Anything that has to be paid for (e.g., parking permit, excursion, t-shirt, proceedings) is done through the conference registration site, and will remain that way. Anything involving the submission of a paper is typically done through websubrev, so perhaps slides and copyright make sense to be added there instead.
