1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you interact with Heecs, our Discord bot. By using Heecs, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. User-Provided Information

  • Messages and Media: We temporarily collect links or files shared with the bot to deliver the requested service. This information is promptly deleted after processing.

2.2. Automatically Collected Information

  • Guild Information: We gather details about the servers (guilds) where Heecs is used, including member counts and guild IDs.
  • Log Data: We collect log data to assist with troubleshooting and analysis.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Link Processing: Extracting and delivering media from TikTok and Twitter links, then immediately deleting the processed media.
  • File Upload Service: Temporarily uploading files to Catbox/Litterbox and providing access links, with files deleted right after processing.
  • Profile Pictures: Retrieving and displaying user and server profile pictures as requested.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or transfer your personal information to external parties. We may share your information in these circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Heecs operates without external service providers. All data processing is handled locally.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights and users’ safety.

5. Data Security

We employ a variety of security measures to safeguard any information or data needed to provide Heecs's services.

6. Data Retention

We retain information and data only for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested. Once that infromation and data is no longer needed, we will securely dispose of it entirely.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your interaction with Heecs:

  • Bot Removal: You can remove Heecs from your server at any time.
  • Policy Review: We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed of any updates.

8. Children’s Privacy

Heecs is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information nor data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the latest version on our GitHub repository with the updated date. Your continued use of Heecs after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
