Hi Gio Bonvi and team,

I have come across a good project called EteSync, they have created a way to sync and replace Google Contacts and Calenders, EteSync then maintains syncs between your phone and EteSysn servers in a secure way that allows more ownership and control of Ones own data. It's a good idea for many reasons, one of which is that Google's contact to phone sync is highly problematic in chronic ways.

I have requested that the EteSync developer (Tom) consider building a Google Add-on that allows some integrations as not everyone can leave Google completely, he is shy for this idea and is focused on his core developments. So I've been searching for some other development that is near to what we need to see if a connection can be made. This brought me here.

etesync/etesync-web#169

Please have a look at the issue/feature request i made at EteSync. Am i right to see that your GoogleContactsEventsNotifier code could be further developed to address the ideals i am pointing out? If true then with a little development a new Google-EteSync Add-on could allow google users the best of both worlds; every time Google initiates the creation of a new contact or calender event the option should appear to sync this into one's EteSync server, into specific "addressbooks" or calendars.

This would be great, I'm sure there is a huge market for this integration. The add-on app would make it easy to sync many Google accounts into one EteSync server and then from there give a better quality sync to a personal device.

What do you think? Can we advance this? Tom's cool, he's just got his hands full on core EteSync stuff, with your knowledge of Google APIs and code he will support the development, it need not take much time.
