In orthographic views of the viewport while in material preview or render mode, the objects just adopts the background color. There is no shading or material properties present on the mesh. This happens anytime I switch from perspective to an orthographic view while in material preview or render mode. There are no error messages. Perspective view seems to be rendering correctly.

Start a fresh scene. Add any object to scene. Apply any material for cycles or prorender uber shader. While in perspective viewport switch to a material preview or render mode. Switch to orthographic view. All shader information is lost and object turns to the same color as the background in viewport. Tested with GPU and CPU rendering. The cycles render engine works as expected. Shader information is rendered.
