ubuntu 24.04 LTS FEM: FrontISTR binary fistr1 not found in standard system binary path

I have built and tested FrontISTR from github/gitlab. All of the tests (220) pass. I put the binaries at both /usr/bin and /usr/bin/local but keep getting this message that freecad is not able to find the binaries. Which location should I copy the binaries to? FreeCad info:
