Hi,
I wanted to ask you something:

In the output routing section of the E4L Master Bus, we can choose the output channels. I used also another .amxd Max 4 Live named "Sender" included in the Live Project "Audio Routes". ([https://maxforlive.com/library/device/5830/audio-routes].

With the Sender, you can select the output channels, but also track inside the actual Live Set.

I wonder how can we add this option in the E4L. I tried to open the patch in Max but I can't find a way.

Wish you a nice evening.

The E4L Master Bus device's routing UI does always route to Ext. Out objects.

But if you want to route the E4L Master Bus decoder outputs to other normal tracks in Ableton, you can actually simply do this by creating a normal audio track and setting its audio inputs in the normal Ableton track configuration. The 32 decoder outputs are pairs 3/4 up to 33/34.

Choose the "E4L Master Bus" as the audio input track, and then whichever pair of channels you want to route from the second dropdown. Use the "In" monitor setting and the audio will flow continuously through this new track. This should achieve the same functionality that's accessible through the Audio Routes tools. Does this work for your use case?

Hi mcslee,

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I had the tip in my pocket, thank you for reminding this!
The thing is if I route like this, then the audio channels are going out twice in the output channels. I would like the routing part of E4L Master Bus is going directly in a Track. Do you know how to modify the .maxpat from E4L Master Bus ?

Best and wish you a nice evening,
R

If you are using the Track Input technique, then you can simply not assign the outputs in the E4L Master Bus. It is fine to leave them all set to No Output, this way you avoid duplication of your outputs.

Modifying the .maxpat is possible but not trivial. It would require a lot more UI space here and would be a more complex change. You're welcome to try that yourself if you like, but it is not something I have time to support at the moment.
