Dear Heishamon-community, I need to kindly ask you for some support.

My set-up is as follows:

  • Heishamon Large V5, Version 3.8 (LAN only connection + USB-C power supply)
  • Model No. WH-SDC09H3E5
  • Outdoor Unit: WH-UD09HE5 (Production Date 2016.8)
  • CZ-TAW1 connected to CZ-NS4P (CN-CNT)
  • MQTT Server (Mosquitto)

For whatever reason my heatpump seems to be also not recognized by Heishamon:
TOP92 Heat_Pump_Model 255 unknown

Problems:
1.) Correct received data: very low only at 61%. It looks like as may TOP-NUMBER items do not extract proper data
2.) Sometimes loss of data, example panasonic_heat_pump/s0/Watt/1 – this seems to be very special, log of data shows a loss (value=false) or no connection every 64seconds (2^6)

Question: Is there anybody who has a hint for me how to fix the problems?

Don't care for the TOP92 Heat_Pump_Model 255 unknown issue. This is just a text describing a possible make of your model. If it is unknown it doesn't change anything on the workings of heishamon.

If you have low data the cable to heishamon is receiving noise. Are your sure you connected it to the correct port on the heatpump? And is the cable free from other cables?

Hello @IgorYbema, thank you very much for your instant feedback. This is highly appreciated.

I bought the Heishamon connection cable as package with the PCB (Tindie #493827).

The cloud module is also connected with the original (Panasonic) included connection cable.

To answer your question. Yes the cables are free from other cables. Regarding correct connection, I followed the instructions on the web page and I thought/hoped it was correct. It would be nice if you could have a look at the attached pictures.

wiring_fotos_heishamon_heatpump.zip

stock cable connection: Panasonic CZ-NS4P add-on board (CN-COMM) is connected to heatpump indoor unit mainboard (CN-CNT)

stock cable connection: Panasonic CZ-TAW1 cloud device (CN-COMM) is connected to CZ-NS4P add-on board (CN-CNT) - no other connection possible.

Heishamon PCB (HEATPUMP) is connected to CZ-NS4P add-on board connector (no printed description) left of (CN-CNT)

EDIT: interesting....I disconnected the CZ-TAW1 cloud device - connection rate is increased

Wifi signal: -1%
Ethernet status: connected - IP: 192.168.180.145
Memory free: 69%
Correct received data: 98%
MQTT reconnects: 1
Uptime: 0 days 0 hours 59 minutes 04 seconds

Still strange....there is still the loss/drop of panasonic_heat_pump/s0/Watt/1 exactly every 64 seconds...no kidding...

You MUST connect the CZ-TAW1 to the Heishamon board and not connect it to the CN-CNT port of the CS-NS4P. This is why heishamon has this extra connector. It works in between.
The reasons for the bad signal is because both heishamon and cz-taw1 are now fighting for control.

That seems to be the root cause. Thank you for clarification, again a big thank you for the instant support !

I disconnected the CZ-TAW1 cloud module from the CS-NS4P add-on board and connected it directly to the (so far) unused extra connector on Heishamon. Now I see also some "proxy information inside the console log"

Besides this the loss/drop of panasonic_heat_pump/s0/Watt/1 exactly every 64 seconds remains. Hard to tell if this is an issue of my S0-meter.

Strange is, you can exactly predict it, every 64 seconds there is "no/false data". Did you ever experience something like this?
