For not only provenance, but also for giving proper attribution, it could be nice if a citation example text was generated, along with the right .bib files.

For example a text file containing:

The dataset was generated using the package lsmdata (eScience Center et al 2023), and consists of data from ERA5 (Hersbach et al, 2020), data from ...
The recipe used can be found in the supplemental materials, or at doi:...

and then a .bib file with those citations included.

Currently, in the first (test) of a dataset implementation, I have added the .bib info and license to the class:

license = "cc-by-4.0"
bib = """
@article{lang2022,
title={A high-resolution canopy height model of the Earth},
author={Lang, Nico and Jetz, Walter and Schindler, Konrad and Wegner, Jan Dirk},
journal={arXiv preprint arXiv:2204.08322},
doi={10.48550/arXiv.2204.08322}
year={2022}
}
"""

This .bib formatted string can be used to generate an output .bib file to accompany a .tex formatted blurb that refers to these citations.
