Video player buttons in the new version is aesthetically unpleasing vs the old, Add an option to customize it?

Description

I had recently switched to the new version of the app due to the whole controversy with 3rd party apps breaking (temporarily). I had noticed there were significant improvements made to the app since I last updated. However, there was one change in particular that made me switch back. The video player controls. I propose you add an option to change the video players, in the theme settings or video settings.

Here is an image comparing the two. I tried to reduce the size of the image but it kept being displayed super big so I just decided to upload it as an album on imgur, to not clutter the space here.

The old video players controls and icons felt more natural and better than the new one, it helped supplement dark themes. With the black transparent background overplayed to help for visibility. In the images here you can see the old UI had more visible clarity for the controls than the new UI, which looks washed out due to the video being a "bright" video.

I suggest adding options to tweak the controls, at least the colors & the option to for a transparent background to overlay the buttons like the old UI had. You do not necessarily need to bring the old UI back, but having the ability to tweak the colors ourselves would definitely help a ton.

I am an avid dark theme user and the new player controls is just very distracting compared to the old one.

Alternatives

Alternatively, you could add a button Like the "legacy video controller UI". rename the current legacy video controller UI to legacy video controller layout and then replace the controller UI with the actual UI. I'm not even certain what the legacy controller UI even does, turning it on and off has no change for me.

Additional context

I think this would be a great addition because it let's users have full control of how their player looks. Depending on the implementation, it would help light mode and dark mode users have a consistent interface while playing videos. This will help them watch videos in peace without being distracted by the lack of visibility or bright colors in the player.
