Environment:

  • OS: iOS 18.1.1
  • IceCubesApp v1.22.2 (2887)

Description

Sometimes my phone experiences a brief network glitch (e.g. because the WiFi where I am is crappy). If I then open IceCubes it may show an error like this:

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Beim Laden der Beiträge ist ein Fehler aufgetreten, bitte versuche es erneut. Wiederholen

which translates roughly to

An error occurred. When loading the posts an error occurred, please try again. Try again

When that happens, and I wait, then when IceCubes recovers it will have lost the position in my feed, and just go to the top. With no way I can see of finding out where I was.

This is of course rather annoying. In fact that is also why I don't have a screenshot now, because I found out that about the only thing I can do when seeing this message is to instantly kill IceCubes; if I am quick enough and wait with relaunching IceCubes until I verified the network is stable enough now, then when restarting the position in my feed is still where it was.

Didn't work this time, and I've been experiencing this 1-2 per week for the last N weeks (there are certain spots in our house were WiFi is crappy and at work there are metal walls so WiFi is crappy everywhere).

I tried to find any similar bugs but failed. My apologies if I missed it.
