Currently a Draft PR because:

  • giscus requires a repo to connect to where:

  • I can't enable/check for these for a USGS-owned repo, so for this draft, it's on my fork

  • Ideally the discussions linked should be on

    • the DOI-USGS/asc-public-docs repo, - or -
    • a separate USGS-owned repo specifically for these comments.

If you have the appropriate permissions, please assist.
