Final Cut Pro’s Viewer will randomly just go black and stop updating. I’ve tried changing projects, clicking various user interface elements, etc but nothing seems to bring it back to life. The only solution I’ve found so far is to quit Final Cut Pro and restart it.

I also had one instance where after restarting Final Cut Pro, I made a cut in an audio file, and added a transition. After doing this the image in the Viewer just strobed. Again, the only solution I found to fix it was to quit Final Cut Pro and restart it. This bug only happened once.

Attached are my diagnostics files. None of these issues happened in Final Cut Pro 10.6.6.

This is fixed in Final Cut Pro 10.6.8.
