"text: Full-text search terms. The parameter is passed to Haystack's auto_query, so it supports negation, exact matches etc."

=> auto_query: "It handles exact matches (specified with single or double quotes), negation ( using a - immediately before the term) and joining remaining terms with the operator specified in HAYSTACK_DEFAULT_OPERATOR."

question: what is the default operator and is it possible to cofigurate in the search query?

The default operator is AND. Currently, the auto query functionality handles stuff like goldfish "old one eye" -tank. Would you need something more specific?

Is it then possible to write boolean queries with the OR operator?
