Images loading in HTML mail / https certificate problem

There is a problem in viewing HTML mail that references images on https:// links (like https://localhost/some_image.png) / image is not loaded due certificate issue.

Certificate in this case is either self-signed or can be invalid in some other way.

Is it possible to allow such https access to work via config options for example / that would allow loading data from https links while accepting any certificate whatsoever?
