WA shifts left in IE

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open WA in IE (tested in 8.0)
2. Let WA read a few lines
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The entire screen moves left unexpectedly.  The page content adjusts and will 
be read correctly, but the top bar becomes partially hidden. The page shouldn't 
move off screen.

Disabling the scroll-into-view-spotlighter extension seems to prevent the page 
shift, but it's not apparent why.
