Hello, I reported an issue here and this issue also occurs with CGAL: I have a mesh (a strange one as usual) which looks nice without normals but which appears not closed with normals. If I take non-angle-weighted normals then it appears nice. Therefore I'm wondering whether the CGAL normals are angle-weighted as well? |

Do you mean vertex normals? If so, for meshes we generally use
CGAL::Polygon_mesh_processing::compute_vertex_normal(s)
. It uses a visibility approach, and if that fails, a sin-weighted sum of incident face normals.See: doc & code
