The status of the following Webs has to be clarified

WEW-ICON

Move to MCH-confluence, check with @cschnadt

scClim

A github.io page is a solution, @jonasjucker checks with @leonie-villiger

Extremes

Old page, little content, check with @cschnadt

Other Webs are checked by @beyerle

The WCR page on the C2SM-wiki is actively used. Please check with @davidnbresch

@leonie-villiger will discuss possible solutions for scClim at the retreat in January.

@mathause can you please check if LS3MIP Web is still used/needed on https://wiki.c2sm.ethz.ch

I am unsure. The web statistics says there are ~1000 topic views per month. But I guess these are mostly web crawlers? There have been no changes since mid 2020. See https://wiki.c2sm.ethz.ch/LS3MIP/WebStatistics

What alternatives can we offer? Move to a wiki on git.iac.ethz.ch or github.com? I'll ask on our mailing list.

Alternatives are github.io or Confluence from ETH. But github.io has no authentication. And Confluence only against ETH accounts, as far as I know.

Concerning the scClim wikipage: we will move it to the scClim project Google Workspace. Since I leave the project (and ETH) at the end of March, we foresee this task to be completed by my replacement (starting in April). Would it be possible to maintain the scClim wikipage until end of May 2024?

Yes, this is possible. I will keep https://wiki.c2sm.ethz.ch running at least until end of 2024.

@beyerle @cschnadt I will delete the entire C2SM-wiki 1st of July.
Please make sure everything has been migrated until that day.

@jonasjucker what do you mean with "entire C2SM-wiki"? There are still webs (ScClim, WCR, etc.) that need to be there.

It would be good then to track the status of migrations in this issue, so we all know whats the progress there.

@cschnadt Can you give an update on the pages you are assigned:

CH-2018
Barely used, could simply be archived, check with @cschnadt
WEW-ICON
Move to MCH-confluence, check with @cschnadt
Extremes
Old page, little content, check with @cschnadt

And same for @beyerle:

Other Webs are checked by @beyerle

The ScClim entry could be deleted, since it has been migrated to the google-space.

Definitely https://wiki.c2sm.ethz.ch/WCR/ is still in use.

LS3MIP - @mathause what is the status there?

mathause commented Jul 1, 2024

LS3MIP is also still in use. As long as WCR is still active we should keep it. If it is the last entry I should migrate it.
