It does the same on my Arch system and it seems to be an Arch-specific problem. It seems to be related to the version of glibc installed on the system (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=269838)

I think it's a problem of GitHub Actions, though I'm not sure, as when generating a (non AppImage) binary, it works, but I'll have to look further into that (with some VMs of course)

EndeavourOS is also having a similar issue:

This is fixed upstream, I guess you can cherry pick the commit. Optionally, you can use different Linux image on CI

audacity/audacity@d8fba7b
