dbus v2 signals documentation and fields

Hi,
is there any documentation on the v2 dbus signals (like SyncMessageReceivedV2)? I don't find something on the man page.

And what was the reason to add those? I see in the java source there is a new member extras which contains values like expiresInSeconds or isViewOnce. So my first guess was ok this is a new reversion of the dbus signal api. But then I noticed that these signals are missing the attachments member. This got me confused.

Can someone explain the background of these new (well they are not really new, but it took me until now to notice them)?
