Help with disabling login via the new feature flag

Hi,

I know that this was just recently released with the following flags:

DISABLE_SIGNUPS=true|false DISABLE_EMAIL_AUTH=true|false

I have been trying to get this working unsuccessfully. Can you someone provide more details on how to set this? I have tried to export it in the OS, in an ENV file, and in the docker-compose, and none work as expected. I am sure that it is a user error, so appreciate the guidance,

In case it's still relevant..

I added the flags in the docker-compose file as shown here: #1671 (simply uncomment and set to your desired values)
Worked like a charm.
